Festival Distribution has just taken us on and I couldn't be happier. :) They do a great job distributing bands in our genre, so it's great news for us. | Spoooky News! So Spooooky!Thanks for stopping by! It's just about Halloween and things haven’t slowed down since our CD release last month… in fact, it seems we’re just getting started. We were very honored to receive 3 awards at the Toronto Exclusive Music Awards show including “Best Latin-jazz Album,” “Best Latin-jazz Song,” and “Best Latin-jazz Website.” We also have an upcoming nomination at the Ontario Independent Music Awards on Nov 15, 2007 held at the Phoenix Concert Hall in Toronto. Aside from the awards and nominations, we are thrilled at the response we have been getting from local, regional, and national radio stations! If any of the radio musical directors are reading this, thank you so much for your support! Also a big thanks to TeleLatino TV Network for having us on Viva Domenica on Oct 14 and to www.ondashispanas.com for the featured article which just came out this past Friday. Whew! Soooo close now So everything has really come together for our upcoming CD. We are just about to send everything to get manufactured and then we're off. It was a marathon of a session, but we are now so close to having everything together. It's getting really exciting now! It's coming along Whew! What a busy week this has been! As you might know, this week we began recording for our debut album. It was a pretty grueling schedule but everyone involved showed incredible strength and pulled it off. The hard part is done now, so we are all breathing a little easier. :) We have some upcoming gigs at The Central and The Savannah Room next week. You'll have to hear how tight the band is now! Vol.1" - a compilation CD of indie artists put together by Music Independence Summit Connection (www.musicindependence.net). Concert Updates Hello again. So we have lots of good news and a little bad news. The bad news is that some of our concert dates at 10North in April & May have been postponed. The good news is we have an exciting show planned at Trane Studio on Tuesday April 3rd. That will be TCO's first show at Trane and it'll be rockin! The week after that we are being featured at Mezzetta Cafe as part of their Latin Jazz Concert Series. We're working hard on these shows and I know they'll be lots of fun! Lula Yesterday Let me tell you... it was SWEET! Lula Lounge was the place to be last night. We had the biggest crowd watching us to date - and they were cheering loud! It was SO much fun! Mike Murley KILLED it, as did the rest of the guys in the band. Check back soon as we will be posting video clips of last night on our website - wait until you hear Scott's solo on "Penta." Unreal! He was even shakin' his thang on the dance floor after our show! That's right ladies... The Veil Has Been Lifted... Not even a week into March and already it's proving to be a wonderful month for us. While on my way to our concert at 10 North last night I was advised by a friend to listen to Toronto's very own JazzFM. It took mere seconds to realize that I was listening to the familiar sound of my own band! That's right; The Cafe Ole is now on the radio! We're all bubbling with excitement over this and can't wait to play this Friday at Lula Lounge. Lots of snow! Well I'm looking outside and we certainly are living in Canada! This crazy snowfall has been enough to postpone Diego's final recital scheduled for tomorrow.
